If we truly follow our dreams without looking for validation before every single step we take, we’ll get a lot further, a lot faster. Remember the voice that says, “you can’t?” It is true. You can’t — expect that anyone else will see what you see before it’s breathed into existence. Imagine that God had created Adam and Eve first and then proceeded to ask them questions like, “What do you think about stars? Should I hang stars in the sky? How many? Do you think humanity will like it? I don’t know. I did think about creating the sun and moon too but I’m just not sure if that will be too much light. What if the whole concept of light and day isn’t received well?” Yes, the creation of the world, the beauty all around us would have hung suspended in God’s imagination. Adam and Eve would have never been able to understand God’s vision for the creation of the world because that project wasn’t within their DNA to create, but it didn’t mean the world wasn’t going to be awesome and that the entire human race wouldn’t enjoy what God created all alone, independent of their opinion or approval. You too, created in God’s image, have this ability, this intuition, this inner power to make your vision a reality. Stop looking for others to validate your vision before you begin to write, sing, dance, create.
