To Julie (from Sonata for the Young) — Personifying our name

How is it that we’re matched with a name that personifies our being? Is this a parent’s intuition or simply a matter of chance? The piece I’m playing below is by Robert Schumann (1810-1856) but the playful innocence of the tune reminds me of my daughter whose name is Julie Angelina. I’ve included some of Julie’s videos below. What is the meaning of YOUR name? Does your original name reflect your life in any way? Have you taken on a new name since you were born?

Julie is a popular Latin first name which originally comes from the Latin Julia which could mean youthful, soft-haired, beautiful or vivacious. It is the feminine form of Julius, and can be a pet form of Julia, Yulie, or Juliette.”

Anna is a Latin form of the Greek: Ἄννα and the Hebrew name Hannah (Hebrew: חַנָּה Ḥannāh‎), meaning “favor” or “grace” or “beautiful”. … Saint Anne is traditionally the name of the mother of the Virgin Mary, which accounts for its wide use and popularity among Christians.”

Meaning. “star” Esther (Hebrew: אֶסְתֵּר‎) is a female given name known from the Jewish queen Esther, eponymous heroine of the Book of Esther. According to the Hebrew Bible, queen Esther was born with the name הֲדַסָּה‎ Hadassah (“Myrtle”).”
